inHabit was charged with creating a welcoming and attractive street facade for a new coffee house in Philadelphia's Queen Village neighborhood. The renovation opened the building's exterior walls with larger windows, inviting an improved visual connection between the cafe and the streetscape. Awnings, signage, and lighting were added to the facade in order to maintain a human scale along the street. The interior of the coffee house was renovated with a custom service bar that connects historic elements of Philadelphia cabinetmaking with modern principles. Brick exposed during construction was cleaned, sandblasted, and sealed to provide an interior accent.
