The Jet Wine Bar at 1525 South Street is not your average wood-paneled wine bar. The design takes a modern and graphic approach to the traditional wine bar aesthetic, capturing the bar's emphasis on global wines. Situated in a Philadelphia row house, Jet's location presented a challenge. inHabit altered the feeling of the space beyond its narrow rectilinear confines by designing a sweeping bar that encourages movement around the space. The dramatic blue-tinted resin bar is both a highlight and focal point of the room. Metal panels above the bar are fanned in order to change the perspective of the room. The panels are punctuated with LED lights for emphasis and accented with acrylic pendants fabricated at Philadelphia's NextFab. Designed to accommodate special events or private wine tastings, the lower level takes on a lounge mood with high-backed banquettes and additional custom lighting.
